Over 270 Participants from Across Ukraine: StrikePlagiarism Webinar on AI and Academic Integrity

On 18 December, StrikePlagiarism held a nationwide online webinar titled “AI Detection and the Updated StrikePlagiarism.com Interface”, bringing together instructors, students, and higher education administrators from different regions of Ukraine.
The discussion focused on practical aspects of using artificial intelligence in academia: real-world AI use cases, risks to academic integrity, European approaches to policy development, and tools to counter misuse.
Special attention was given to the updated StrikePlagiarism.com interface, including new features of the administrative panel, structured assessment criteria, and functionalities that simplify work with academic texts.
The participation of more than 270 educators demonstrated the strong demand within the Ukrainian academic community for systemic solutions and clear practices for the responsible use of AI in education.

StrikePlagiarism at MoodleMoot Italia 2025

From 17 to 19 December, the StrikePlagiarism team participated in MoodleMoot Italia 2025, held at the Università degli Studi di Ferrara. The event brought together the academic community to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on digital learning, assessment, and academic standards.
As part of the exhibition and professional program, the capabilities of StrikePlagiarism.com for institutions using Moodle were presented, including seamless LMS integration, the AI content detection module, recognition of textual manipulations, and the detection of translation plagiarism.

Unified Rules on Academic Integrity Introduced in Ukraine

On 18 December 2025, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law “On Academic Integrity,” which for the first time establishes unified rules for academic integrity across the entire education and research system. The document defines types of violations, procedures for their consideration, and forms of responsibility.
The law covers, among other things, plagiarism, fabrication and falsification of research results, contract cheating, as well as manipulation in assessment processes. It also предусматривает the creation of a national register of decisions on violations of academic integrity.
The adoption of the law sets common and transparent rules for universities, research institutions, and learners, laying the foundation for a systemic approach to quality assurance and trust in the academic environment.

StrikePlagiarism at OEB Global 2025 in Berlin

The StrikePlagiarism team participated in OEB Global Conference 2025, one of the largest international education exhibitions and forums, bringing together universities, EdTech companies, researchers, and education policymakers. The event traditionally serves as a platform for presenting technologies and strategies that shape the future of the global education ecosystem.
Within the exhibition area, the team showcased StrikePlagiarism.com solutions focused on supporting academic integrity in the context of the rapid spread of generative artificial intelligence. The greatest interest among participants was drawn by the AI content detection module, as well as the system’s integration capabilities with popular LMS and SSO solutions, enabling universities to embed plagiarism and AI checks directly into their educational processes.
During the exhibition, representatives of universities from Europe, Asia, and Latin America discussed practical challenges related to the use of AI in education, particularly issues of assessment, authorship, and the development of institutional academic integrity policies. StrikePlagiarism’s participation in the exhibition segment of OEB Global 2025 became a platform for professional exchange and the establishment of international connections in the field of educational technologies.
